What is Detox Water?

Detox Water is the solution to all your problems. Cleans your system, burns the fat, and makes your skin glowing and fresh. There are so many benefits of drinking detox water once in a while. 

We all know water helps in flushing out all the toxins from your body. But with just a few additions, you can transform water into ‘detox water’ and increase the benefits. 

Every once in awhile, we all should attempt flushing out toxins from our body and cleanse our body. Because of this unhealthy lifestyle and eating habits, there are a lot of unnecessary toxins that settle in our system and one should work once in a while. 

How to make Detox water at home?

With a few easy ingredients at home, you can make your own “Detox Water”. Also, people like me, who are lazy in drinking water or drink very less water, this is the solution for them. By just making “detox water” of your choice, you will end up drinking more and more water.

What to add in the Detox Water?

You can choose Fruits, Herbs, Spices of your choice. I have tried to keep it simple and easy. I have used Apple & Cinnamon because the combination is match made in heaven. Apple will boost your metabolism while cinnamon is loaded with antioxidants and is known to have anti-inflammatory properties. I have added Orange slices, just to add a citrusy taste to it. Tulsi-Honey and Lemon are great for the skin and extremely beneficial for the body. You can always choose any other fruits or veggies like Cucumber, Watermelon, Strawberry, or any other berries of your choice.

When to drink it?

You can drink this any time of the day or you can just carry it to your workplace. The time that the ingredients required to release their flavor can vary from 15 minutes to an hour, depending on your mix and the prevailing weather conditions. Given the weather conditions in India, it is advisable to consume herb water within an hour or two if kept at room temperature. If refrigerated, it is safe to sip for up to 24 hours.

Detox Water
Detox water is basically fruits, herbs, and spice added in normal water. It helps in detoxifying the body by flushing out the toxins.

Instructions
  1. Take a Mason Jar or any jar/tumbler/bottle of your choice. I have got this Blue Mason Jar from Chumbak.
  2. Slice lemon into circles and de-seed it too. You can use lemon drops too. Lemon wedges can make it bitter.
  3. Put Apple, Lemon, Orange into the Jar.
  4. Pour Honey and put a small piece of Cinnamon. I have put a bigger one, try to keep it small, see if you like the taste or not. For next time you can always add a bigger piece.
  5. Last but not the least add Tulsi leaves.
  6. Finally! Pour water over the ingredients and stir well to mix. Close the lid.
  7. Your Detox water is ready.

Notes : Given the weather conditions in India, it is advisable to consume herb water within an hour or two if kept at room temperature. If refrigerated, it is safe to sip for up to 24 hours.
