  1. In a mixing bowl, take the cooked/leftover rice. To this add, salt, Haldi, Lemon juice and mix it well. Taste and adjust the lemon and salt.
  2. In a kadhai. Heat oil. Once heated add rai, jeera, slit green chili, curry leaves, urad dal, and chana dal. Sauté.
  3. Now add peanuts and cook till they become light golden brown in color.
  4. Now pour the cooked rice in the kadhai and toss it well. The entire masala should cover the rice.
  5. Let it cook for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
Recipe Notes
  • Adjust the tangy-ness of lemon according to taste.
  • If making for kids, avoid green chili.
  • You can even soak urad and chana dal for 15 minutes and then add it to the kadhai.
