  1. In a nonstick pan or a vessel. Take milk and let it come to a boil. Add the food color as per your choice. I have used a yellow color for the Kesariya effect. To this add the milk powder and mix it well. There should be no lumps.
  2. Stir this mixture for a while till both the ingredients combine together. Milk and milk powder will start coming together.
  3. Now add sugar and mix it well. Cook it on low flame till sugar gets dissolved.
  4. Add saffron strands and cardamom powder.
  5. Switch off the gas and let the mixture cool down a bit. The mixture should be warm enough to make balls.
  6. Make round pedas using your palm. Use a fork to give a little texture on the top. Once done, sprinkle some orange food color for that pop of color.
