Is there anything more satisfying than filling your tummy with freshly baked, crisp cookies, scrumptious muffins or deliciously sweet cakes?
Baking is something which brings smile to everyone’s face. The smell of freshly baked cake is beyond description. Moist- freshly-baked cake, the smell of vanilla essence is indeed love.
Though Baking is no rocket science, it’s all about perfect measurements. If you don’t believe me, check out what Chef Sanjeev Kapoor has to say 😉
P.S : Getting a reply from my Inspiration-Hero-God- Chef Sanjeev Kapoor was one of the best things happened to me on Twitter. I was on Cloud9 😛 *Dances*
This Vanilla Sponge Cake is one of the easiest, yummiest and the simplest recipe I have ever came across. Its eggless, and needs only few ingredients which are easily available in your kitchen. Also if you do not have microwave, this is for you. You can easily bake it in a Pressure Cooker.
Lets get into some non-serious baking 😉
Baking Essentials :
For people who are beginners in baking like me. It’s very important to get the measurement right. Some are the essential products which you will require for any type of baking are :
Measurement Cups :
Now these cups are for measuring dry or wet ingredients. These come in a set of 4. The biggest cup is of 200gms, followed by 100gms, 50gms and then 25gms.
Measurement Spoons :
These are used to measure baking soda and baking powder. When-ever you measure Baking soda and Baking powder, fill them in the spoon and then level it with your fingers so that you don’t end up adding extra.
