  • 1/2 teaspoon Ajwain
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • a pinch hing
  • 2 tablespoons Oil
  • to taste Salt
  • as required Water .
Instructions
  1. Take fresh Meethi leaves and wash it thoroughly under tap water or you can soak them in water and then wash it properly. Since these leaves have mud and dirt in them, washing them properly 2-3 times is very important.
  2. Once you have washed them, drain the excess water and roughly chop them using a knife or a scissor.
  3. In a big thali or a mixing bowl, take wheat flour/atta and besan. We use besan for better binding and it gives nice flavor too.
  4. Add jeera, ajwain, sauf, red chilli powder, hing, salt and mix it properly. Add meethi leaves and oil.
  5. Trying mixing everything together using your hands. At this moment we haven't added any water since Meethi leaves already have a little water in it.
  6. Now add water in small quantity and make it like a dough. Be very careful while adding water.
  7. Leave this dough to rest for at least an hour.
  8. After an hour, knead this dough again using a bit of oil in your hands.
  9. Make medium size balls from this dough and roll it using a rolling pin.
  10. Heat a tava and cook these Parathas on low-medium flame. Apply ghee/oil and cook from both sides till golden brown.
  11. Serve them hot with Khatti-Meethi Tamatar Chutney and Coriander Chutney.
