Who doesn’t love Pizza? 😉 – We all have that little Joey inside us who go crazy when we hear about Pizza. When it comes to making Pizza at home, either you can use canned Pizza sauce or you can make this easy Pizza sauce. Super quick to make and requires very few ingredients.
This is a basic tomato Pizza sauce recipe. I have used lots of juicy red tomatoes, fresh basil leaves and tossed in mixed herbs/oregano. I have made this one without Onion and Garlic. You can obviously add to make it more authentic. You can preserve it too in an air tight container and use it whenever you are making Pasta or Pizza.
Pizza sauce can be used not only for applying on the Pizza Base, but also for red sauce Pasta or even Pizza Sandwich. Stay Tuned, I am gonna post a super quick Pizza Sandwich recipe.
Let’s dig into the recipe *YUM*
Homemade Pizza Sauce | Basic Tomato Pizza Sauce.
Homemade Pizza Sauce that you can make in a jiffy and with few ingredients easily available in the kitchen. Use it for Pasta/Pizza or even Pizza Sandwich!
Yummy. Happy Cooking! :))
Wash tomatoes under tap water. Chop them into fine pieces. You can make tomato puree too but I like to have the chunkiness of the sauce. It's completely on your choice, either finely chopped them or make a fine puree.
Heat butter or olive oil in a kadhai. Add chopped tomatoes. Let them cook for about 3-4 minutes on low flame. Tomatoes should be cooked properly with a little crunch.
Add roughly chopped basil leaves, mixed herbs, oregano.
Now add salt, black pepper powder, pasta masala and tomato ketchup.
Mix everything properly and cook it for another minute on low flame.
Switch off the gas and let it cool down.
Store in air tight container or use as required.
Fresh Homemade tomato Pizza sauce is ready.
- You can add crushed garlic to the butter/olive oil.
